I was just sitting thinking about something that would be fun to play on vr and I was thinking.....yall should definitely make a pokemon vr. Like based on the old gameboy games like pokemon RPG blue, green, red, or yellow. Being able to catch pokemon and battle online with friends/strangers. Would be awesome!!! Think about it!! Anyone else have anything to add to this idea?

I second that! I've been thinking about that for a while now. I don't even need the battles (in fact, turn-based RPG wouldn't be very interesting in VR...). Just imagine being in a wide explorable map, full of many creatures that you can interact with (give food, play with, mount, ...). Imagine a multiplayer game like Rec Room or VRChat, full of different maps and activities, but it's filled with living Pokemon.
You could even have a familiar (a Pokemon that follows you around, that you can order around, ...).

Sounds like a fun concept - especially reliving the Gameboy excitement to the Pokemon environment.
Sadly there are a number of hurdles - the big one is the Pokemon Company who have signed agreements with Samsung and Magic Leap to develop AR/VR apps for those platforms. Secondly the big issue - Nintendo. They are not fans of VR, the Labo being more of a one off than a serious initiative into the medium. And the issue that Facebook and Nintendo are not on talking terms at the moment, so would block any suggestions of collaboration.

But still a nice idea - we will just have to wait and see if Samsung does something with it?

We have a couple of Japanese manga games released in VR that have a Pokemon feel, but it looks like the new Dragon Quest AR game will be the closest to what you want.

I suppose it can theoretically have some traction. there’s some ar in pokémon go, and the permit’s go video games have validated a motion-based throw is viable. however it’s all as much as a game freak, they manage the Pokémon franchise. do I assume they’ll do it? I say it relies upon on the market for VR games and the video games are driven onto VR via Nintendo. if we see a Mario VR, as well as a legend if zelda VR, it is very possible that we’ll see a pokémon VR.

That's a fantastic idea! A Pokémon VR game inspired by the classic Game Boy titles like Red, Blue, and Yellow would be a dream come true for many fans. Imagine exploring the Pokémon world in virtual reality, catching Pokémon (1999 Charizard Pokemon), and battling with friends or strangers online. The immersive experience would be absolutely awesome! Let's hope the Pokémon world takes note of this great idea and turns it into a reality. Do you have any specific features or ideas in mind for this concept?

You search for PokequestVR ? You can use Google to find it 🙂

I completely agree with your idea for a Pokémon VR game! Revisiting the classic Game Boy games like Pokémon Red and Blue in a virtual reality setting would be an incredible experience. Being able to catch Pokémon and battle with friends or even strangers online would add a whole new level of excitement to the Pokémon world. It's a fantastic concept that could bring fans together in an immersive and interactive way. Let's hope game developers consider making this dream a reality!
