Is there going to be .MKV support?
Is there going to be full .SRT support? I can't get my subtitles to work! Does the app have non-english languages support?
Is there going to be search option for vimeo 360 videos etc?
Is there going to be YouTube support?
Is there going to be seat change option, lights func. options?
Is there going to be multiplayer???

Anything else?

Final question:
When do you plan to release those functionalities?

I highly doubt your gonna get an anwser here.

Have you tried Virtual Desktop? I prefer that as a video viewer

I agree with @FrozenPea , Virtual Desktop is excellent, but it's not free and it doesn't privide a virtual cinema... although an adjustable screen floating in a virtual environment is awesome!

Is Oculus Video/Cinema the only software you've tried, and do you only want to look at free players? If you're willing to spend some money, Virtual Desktop is great, and you'll use it for more than just watching video. It's nice to be able to switch between Oculus Home and Steam without leaving VR, for example.

If you really want a good virtual cinema (and you don't mine paying 10 bucks for it!) I recommend Cineveo:

I already tested Virtual Desktop (with cinema dlc) and Cineveo, but in my opinion the cinema in Oculus Cinema/Video is the best looking one.

Ah ok. Unfortunately, as @FrozenPea has stated, you're unlikely to get the devs to provide you with an answer here. Perhaps you would have more luck by emailing Oculus Support? Ok, maybe not! 😛

The god rays spoil any cinema viewing experience for me anyway.  Doesn't bother me at all in gaming but in cinema its very noticable.  I use mu gear vr for cinema..
