Hey guys!

I made a custom version of my racing game Headlong Racing specially for Oculus Rift and I'm offering it out for free because I have absolutely no idea how to monetize something like this!

The download is PC only for now.

Enjoy! Feedback welcome!

Wow, very professional! It's arcade style racing like when I was a kid. This works really well on the rift. Surprisingly well. High framerate, no lag, and no nausea either. I made it to level 2, but it took several races as the steering for me was on/off. It would be easier to control if it was less sensitive. It could be my controller though - it's a logitech F310 running in x-box mode.
The only bug I found was trying to exit the game - I had to alt-tab out and close the window. The field of view was a bit limited as well with black borders visible on the right and left sides. Still very playable and fun though; it would be a riot with multiplayer. 🙂

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

If you go into the options menu, in controller options, you can adjust controller sensitivity .. hopefully that might make it a bit nicer for your controller? I hope so 🙂

Sorry you had trouble escaping from it 😉 .. I'll look into that and see if I can fix it up.

Cheers!

OK that did the trick - controls are nice and smooth. Don't know how I missed that. Also, I changed my desktop screen size to 1280x800 and that took care of the field of view issue - I was running at 1680x1050 before. I also found pressing backspace worked to exit the game, but not selecting EXIT and pressing A.
Great sound effects by the way.

Oh rats it's supposed to default to 1200 x 800. Guess that didn't work, then! Hmm.. I have a little work to do 😉

Thanks for trying it and for getting back to me - that's great feedback!

Cheers!
Jeff.

Hey!

Sorry about that - I just needed to fix a problem with the default screen resolution. Should be OK now, please try again 😄

Urgh. Looks like there's some kind of performance issue with the latest version of Unity. Just tested the download build and it's running real slow here 😕

I'll try to get it fixed up and re-upload.
