Since updating the gogles to version 76, I've been experiencing freezes on the Windows desktop and also in games. I connect to the PC and the cable connection is established correctly, but after a few minutes, suddenly and without warning, the USB connection and therefore the game I was playing drop out. It feels as if the image has frozen, and when I turn my head, the image remains fixed, but multiple squares appear around the edges. I go to the Meta Quest Link app and on the device page, the gogles appears with a red dot next to it instead of a green one like indicate a good connection.
I'm desperate and don't know how to fix this. I've logged out of the PTC program and reverted the Quest Link software to v74, but the gogles still displays v76. I've performed a factory reset with the mobile´s app, but that doesn't fix it. If you have any solutions, please let me know. Thanks.
I forgot to mention that when I switched to this version, I noticed a dramatic change in cable speed when I ran a test. It went from 2.7 Gbps to 4 Gbps 😲. I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Finally all my problems were due to poor cable quality. For some strange reason, I was getting higher-than-normal speeds in the tests, which confused me into thinking it was fine. I replaced it and everything was fine.

Same here. No proper connection via link-cable anymore. Flickering and disconnection after some seconds.
It becomes worse from update to update. And there is no way to downgrade to an older but more stabile version…

Hi friend, I'm going to share my experience in case it helps. After long hours of testing, trial, and error, I did the following. I have a ticket open on Meta Support, but so far it's wasted more time than it has solved my problem.
One of the things I did was revert the Meta Quest Link software back to version 74 (the glasses are impossible to downgrade from version 76, so forget it). You can also delete your gogles from the Meta software and add them back (this helped me). To delete them, you must be disconnected from the USB port on your computer.
After this, turn off the gogles completely and then restart the computer. Once it has started, turn the gogles back on.
Another thing, if you have the "OpenTabletDriver" software installed, close it because it's causing problems with the gogles' USB connection. I've contacted its developer, but according to him, it's not his problem (I don't know who's to blame here; the truth is, this software only gives me problems with the Meta cable link; I have no problems getting Windows to recognize other devices).

Hey there,
thanks for your advice. And yes, you were right, this procedure helped in the first place. But after about 5 min, it disconnects again and it starts all over again.
I didn’t change anything, but after the update the load limit seemed to be very low compared to v74 and before. So I tried it with lower setting (frame rate, resolution), but it didn’t help at all. No difference.
As soon as you connect via link-cable, the UI starts to flicker, the sound grinds and the goggles loose the usb-connection after some seconds.
The Quest is bricked…
Maybe it is time to get rid of the Quest 3 and move to Pimax.

Saturday
Exactly the same problem. Update nvidia GPU drivers made it work
