Hello, i dont gat an Credit Card and can only pay with paypal. My question . Will become the Oculus store an payment method with paypal? I mean on any gamemarket platform can you pay youre game with paypal or other banktransfers. Why not on Oculus ? This could be not true that there is no other Payment Method. Or did i something wrong to buy a game in the oculus store??? Please help.. Thanks ..
ah okay 🙂 thx for that info, but i still need to ask this once a week, maybe some dev (i know right now its stressfull for the hardware manufacture, but the software devs should be able to spend like 5 minutes a week in this forum and maybe answer some questions 😉 ) will read this and realize that europe is a market where they could make money to 😉 so again will there be another payment method in the near future ? (and please not another try to convince me to get a Credit Card, won´t happen)
well when i look at this tread and see how some people told me how awfully wrong i am by not having a CC i doubt that this will ever change (sadly) in a few months i will have to decide Oculus or Vive (already own the DK2) and then this will be a game changer for me, and i guess a lot of other germans will have to decide to 😞 i don´t see a bright future for oculus in Germany...
In another thread somebody mentioned this service called Revolut. It is a service that lets you exchange money in USD, EUR or GBP. For free. Additional you get a digital CC (also for free). I read through the whole TOS and couldn't find any catch. I'd recommend it to anybody to read it by themselves.
This is how it works:
You top any amount you like to your account via bank transfer. If you use online banking it takes about one day to get the money there. Then you can exchange this amount in USD (But you don't have to because the service exchanges automatically if you have to pay in another currency). Register the CC (you will see the details in the revolut app) in the oculus home payment methods tab, create a PIN and that's it.
I bought The Climb and Chronos with that. It's the only method to pay with a CC (in Germany) I could find without having to pay an additional foreign currency fee.
So feel free to try it.

and again 🙂 the problem i have with all these websites is that i don´t want to give out my Bank data again and again and again. i don´t want to have abvout 20 accounts that all have acces to my bank account i have paypal and that has to be it, yes i´m not flexible about that. it is most for 3 reasons 1.security, no matter what anyone says it is NOT healthy to have my bankdata on 20 different website (each one with the cheapest anti-hacking software out there) and i already got paypal for years and never had a problem with it (never change a running system)
2. it is easy to use (choose game buy it done.) CC i have to go to my bank and transfer money to it (takes about 2 day´s but sometimes i want to play a game spontanously now not 2 days after i got my ass to the bank for the transfer)and no iwont putt 500bucks on it because maybe im going to buy a game someday (don´t no englisch name for it but in german: insolvent if that would happen to the CC company my money would be gone)
3. because i already got a paypal account...
i fail to see where oculus has a problem with integrating it (or even telling people that they are working on it) i mean you only can buy the hardware with a paypal account. if i didn´t already own a DK2 and bought the rift needing a paypal account to purchase it i would be extremly pissed to learn that i can´t buy a single game for it and there for payed about 800€ for a brick...
