Yeh I agree. It looks horrid and a blurry mess but you learn to like it or lump it. You might try the debug tool which lets you change the display quality a little but still it's going to look poor in the distance. I still think the immersion of being in the driving seat makes up for it though and checking the opposition on the straights is thrilling when they are side by side.

Just imagine what it is like for rally car drivers with constant mud on their screens. At-least you have a better view then them. I think you see what you need to see in this game. Sure it could be better when the resolution improves, but at-least you can see the road ahead clearly enough.
Sure the res. is crappy when compared to racing on an HD monitor. But it's good enough and I can say for myself. I'll never play a racing game on monitor again. The feeling of immersion is incredible and I feel like I'm driving a race car.
Yeah, you know the immersion works because when I am racing I get so tense, that it's the only time I experience neck pain...It's not because of the HMD, but it's because I really feel like I am in a race car and I am pushing it to the limit

I really dont mind it, its not 4k, but the immersion makes me forget .... and gives me instant ROAD RAGE, i keep screaming at other cars flipping them the bird.

I agree with @jamstorr86 - it does look bad. Even with a GTX 1070 OC. It looks so bad that it`s for me an immersion breaker. The aliasing is so bad that it´s really a disappointment. Saved the money to buy an GTX 1070 OC to use supersampling but I even can`t run it on high/ultra settings with 90 FPS! I`m happy to get around 90 FPS with medium settings - and still not constant. I hope there is some optimization left from the developers...
I found it's better to turn down the graphics and forget pixel density. I run at DS4X ...not everything maxed...post processing off..no crowds...subtle light.
I just drove around in Donnigton park on a foggy day and everything looked great. Keeping your framerate up is the key. Your brain will smooth out the graphic quality.
Don't settle for anything less than a solid 90fps.
I think Project Cars is AMAZING on the Oculus. It doesn't look terrible at all. Try one of the open wheel cars at Donnigton park.
