Hello!
I'm looking at expanding towards PCVR with my oculus, but I'm unsure if my GPU is good enough.
I'm running an RTX3050 (8gb), which on the help center shows the laptop version is not recommended, so I'm just curious if my 3050 on an actual PC will work
Main concern is if it will actually run, since I won't be playing huge games.
Thanks

Too weak for good PCVR imho. You probably need at least a 3060, preferably 3070 or better for decent PCVR.

@MammaMiaHolder as previously mentioned a 3050 graphics card will give a poor VR experience, but it might be worth trying the SteamLink app or Virtual Desktop which will not throw up errors about unsupported hardware.
If you're playing potato games then it may be all you need.

Would it still be able to run games through the quest link app?

Sorry your rtx3050 isn't likely going to work well using the meta link pc app, wireless using Air Link, or wired with a Link cable imho. Obviously, if you have a Q3s or Q3 headset you can try this out to see for yourself. Also, like @oculusness already said you may want to try Virtual Desktop or SteamLink. You do need a good router/5Ghz wifi setup to use with either of these, including Air Link.
Otherwise, just do what the majority of Quest users do and enjoy standalone mobile VR. It seems to be getting better and better all the time.

Most likely it will work for the case of Quest 3s with Beat Saber on steam VR. I have a GTX 1650 which would be less powerful than RTX 3050. Oculus link software does say that my setup does not meet minimum requirements probably because of GTX 1650.
Why I think it will work - I got the 3s last week for the fact that in case PC VR does not work I shall just use it for VR App. I have Beat Saber on Steam - connect my PC using etherenet cable to a dedicated router and get the Quest 3S to connect to the same router on WIFI. This setup will make sure airlink works well.
Gaming experience was nothing worse than RIFT S setup. I do not have other PC VR games so I am not sure how well for other games. Also I cannot say for QUEST 3 as I do not have one.
