Real VR Fishing

Hi all just wondered if anyone here plays Real VR Fishing? If so was after some help on how to catch the big fish in Salt Water?
I hook up and play them as you should but no mater what i do they always spit the hook?
I went back to the "Normal" setting from "Hard" to follow the hooked guide to make sure i was doing everything right, but the fish still spat the hook even though my line was in the safe position?
So anyone have any tips or hints on how to keep the fish on?
Cheers Chuck

You lose most big fish on the red spectrum. If you are using the drag feature (right trigger) try not using it and letting the fish run more. Listen for the splash and reel like hell for a five count. Repeat. As it gets closer, you can use the drag on mahi, but drag remains dangerous with marlin and tuna. Also use a five count frantic reel after each jumps. Move to the pole forward and low whenever you see bright red while trying to steer the fish. Hope that helps. I've got the third biggest mahi and the 13th biggest marlin now, but I went forever before I started landing the bigger ones. It sucked. But yeah let them run. That said, if they run too far . . .

If your rod and reel are substandard the fish will overpower your line and snap it, losing the fish. If you’re not using the Hester equipment, the bigger fish will get away every time.
