[Release] Black Island - a horror adventure

Hi everyone!

We are proud to announce the release of our Oculus Rift only horror adventure 'Black Island'!

The game has been in development since beginning of 2013 and we have been posting the alpha demo and other content on the Forums from time to time. Now it's time to post the final download link! 😄

In 'Black Island' you get stranded on a tropical island in the Pacific ocean. You need to solve a quest to be able to escape the island again. While doing so, you explore the whole island in an open world scenario and have to avoid getting caught by the beings, who are also roaming the island.

The game currently only runs on Windows+Oculus Rift.

Googling zip.001 shows they are opened with WinRAR. Put them all in the same folder and select the first one. It will extract them all automatically.

I tried Winrar the first few times when it wouldn't work, then I tried it again the way you said (putting the files in a folder) and that didn't work either. I downloaded 7zip and tried that but still nothing. I emailed them and they said if I couldn't get it to work they'd find another way to send me the game, which means I now love this company and will be more likely to make purchases from them in the future. Good customer service goes a long way.

This was a pretty cool game, I never seen any beings not sure if they just aren't implemented yet or if it was a bug. The game has a really creepy feeling to it so hopefully you plan on adding some type of monsters or ghost to it. I really liked the openness of the island and being able to explore around. It's a bit to dark I had to turn my rift brightness way up and it was still really hard to see. Anyway great exploration game hopefully you plan on updating it!
