Rock Band VR worth the money?

How is Rock Band VR? Is it basically a free style mode or does it give you an idea of what to play?

I am considering getting this game, but would need to get the guitar also.  
Any recommendations on which of those listed as compatible would be a better choice?

Also, do they come with a way to connect to PC, or is that separate?

you are better off getting the Xbox one guitar, then you can just use the xbox one wireless adapter that came with the rift to connect it. 

I heard some of the PS4 guitars have trouble with whammy bar etc... not working over certain bluetooths and you have to update firmware on them.

Thanks, was just looking on amazon and found that out regarding the bluetooth needed for playstation whereas with the x-box it uses the wireless controller used for the x-box game controller. No wonder the x-box bundle is sold out on amazon but not playstation version

Yes, it appears that amazon is fresh out of x-box one guitars, and I don't feel like going ebay just yet, so will have to wait.

I bought the Rockband 4 Rivals Set that came with the PS4 Jaguar. Using that with this Bluetooth adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZIILLI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Works fine. Wammy bar teleport is no issue. Made sure to use windows 10 drivers though, not the manufacturer's, as the manufacturers have stated that PS4 Bluetooth is not entirely compatible with their drivers. Would probably still wait for the Xbox version, as that seems to be the one that is going to have the best support. I think I got lucky with my Bluetooth setup.
