I've never played a Sam & Max: Freelance Police game before. To be honest, I think that trend is about to continue.
Lo, a quest! I seek the threads of my future in the seeds of the past.

One of the great Lucasarts classics when adventure games were big thing. I hope this game will be as good as early 90s game.

The humor in the first game is still second to none - it might be a giant challenge obtaining such quality with the new release, will be interesting to see. Btw, here's a memory enhancing/supporting video 😉

Now available on Quest store.  Not on Rift store yet but hopefully soon, and hopefully cross-buy.

I got the free demo from Steam and it works and looks great using my Q2 wireless with Air Link.  Not really much better with my Vive Pro since Index controllers show up as vive wands, lol!  Hopefully this will be fixed in the full pcvr version.

EDIT:  Just got the full PCVR version free with my VivePort Infinity subscription.  Works great with my Q2 wireless w/Air Link and also with my Vive Pro (w/Index controllers).  The Index controllers still show up as Vive Wands but they work fine.  Saved me aud$46.99 compared to the Current Quest-only one on the Quest store.  So, still getting pretty good value from my VP Infinity sub.

i9 13900K water cooled, RTX4090, Z790 MB w/wifi6e, 32Gb 6400 ram, 2x2TB SSD, 1000W PSU, Win 11, QPro, Q3, w/Link and Air Link, Vive Pro1 with 2x2.0 base stations, Etsy lens mod and Index Controllers

Thanks for the update 🙂 Interesting that Viveport has the full game, but Steam only the playable demo. Maybe HTC bought some time, or devs need more time to check support for many different hmds on Steam - then again, Viveport supports many different hmds too...

Ya, even just got an update!  VivePort is often a little behind Steam updates.

i9 13900K water cooled, RTX4090, Z790 MB w/wifi6e, 32Gb 6400 ram, 2x2TB SSD, 1000W PSU, Win 11, QPro, Q3, w/Link and Air Link, Vive Pro1 with 2x2.0 base stations, Etsy lens mod and Index Controllers

I can run the Steam version using SteamVR res 300%, but get reprojections using 400% - still the PCVR version does look nice with some limited dynamic shadows not present in the Quest version. Maybe some textures have been enhanced too.

You don't get to play much in the demo - have you had time to test the game, is it fun?

Btw, I greatly enjoyed the old giants, like Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle - and Sam & Max in the 1990s. Did finish Zack McKracken on my Commodore 64 too - not sure I ever got through Maniac Mansion, but those are different stories, maybe not suited for this thread, lol.
