SledgeRift is a snow sledding game. You go down hill on a "vehicle" and collect coins. This vehicle is controlled by your head movment! You can use collected coins to unlock more levels or vehicles. The more coins you collect in single level, the faster the vehicle goes. You get personal highscores for each level. There are also Online Leaderboards so you can compete against eachother!

Supports Windows, Mac and Linux
Download Game at: http://konradjablonski.co.uk/sledgerift/

Here is a trailer of 1.17!

Note* The name you enter at beginning is the name used on leaderboards. If you play without internet, its better to disable online mode by going to the settings next to leaderboard.

Please feel free to give any tips and suggestions!

Thanks!

Love the new sleds and the music just goes great with the game, now I just need to beat your highscore! 😛

I can't get past the name entry - nothing seems to start the game. The 'accept' button highlights when I look at it (and I've tried hitting enter, space and various other keys as well as buttons on the joypad) but nothing happens.]

<edit> Found it - left mouse button. Not something I think of using when I've got my Rift on for Unity demos I must admit..

I had fun with this. Only issue was that the main menu didn't use the controller. A little confusing.

Thanks for playing, I've just updated the game and it fixed that issue and few others. 😄

I've updated the game just to let you know. Also "AdoptedSon" has beaten your highscores! Be sure to check it out. In new updated I've added so it checks if new update is available and it will let you now 😄

Those initial scores I posted are about the best I can do. To be honest, I'm not very good at the game - I just exploited the mechanics of it in a way you might not have thought of 😉

Ohh please tell me more about this exploitation technique 🙂 I am totally NOT going to fix it if you tell me.

By the way planning going to clear leaderboard database with in next few days, since new version is slightly harder, so not fair to people with new versions. Also I will disable submitting highscores if you are not playing up to date version.

After looking at the latest version, it doesn't apply anymore (assuming I wasn't imagining it in the first place). When I got my scores, it was with the version without the red coins (they were just yellow and blue).

Since you sped up when you collected a coin, I simply avoided the yellow ones and only collected the blue ones. That easily got me a score that was at least double than if I collected the yellow ones as well.

However, I notice that the different colour coins affect your speed differently now, so it doesn't apply anymore. If the blue coins in the old version made you go faster anyway, then it was a placebo effect for me, but somehow it did let me get a higher score by just collecting the blue coins.

This was also the reason I couldn't get a decent score on the night-time blizzard level - the blue coins were just too hard to spot 😉
