Hello all!

Today The Gate crew announced the release of "The Gate Technology Review v 0.6.1". The Gate is a multi-purpose platform, exclusively designed for Virtual Reality. It is made from scratch by passionate VR dreamers for passionate VR dreamers.

UPDATE 1
Some users reports crashes on Windows 8 64-bit. We are working to fix it.
Meanwhile if the software crashes on your machine, follow this steps:

- Do not run from a network folder. Copy it to a local disk.
- Set compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3.
- Run with administrative rights.

I've been waiting for something like this, but I didn't expect it to be so good! It's so crisp and immersive! The photo viewer is exactly what I've been wanting for some time now. I can't wait until the internet browser is working!

My only gripe so far is the controls. One suggestion is to allow the use of wsad instead of arrow keys while viewing photos. It's a little more natural to hit those keys with the left hand, since the mouse is in the right hand.

Hi, do you have an eta guys have an eta on an android app? There are 6 phone/tablet devices in my household, and the only one that runs ios is too old lol, all the rest are android devices. 🙂

Hello HappyHimitsu,

Likely one or two weeks. The Android app is under testing now. Android testing is harder than iOS due its high fragmentation nature. 😐

Remenber that an smart device is reccomended but is not a requeriment. Meanwhile you can enjoy The Gate with the mouse and keyboard... 😉 😉

Thanks for the reply Fernando, It would appear in my haste to check out all the exciting new stuff on the forums I overlooked the ability to use it without a smart device.

I am really loving this program. However for some reason I am told that my graphics card cannot handle the other settings, which is weird since I am running a 780ti. Is it a problem on my side? Does anyone else have this problem? Running it on a windows 7. dk2.
