Seems like Meta decided to tear down all Homes with update 53 - with no warning. My Home has been working for about 5 years, I'm extremely unhappy to lose my Home.
Some months ago I took a few pictures of my Home - feel free to add your shots or video of lost Oculus Homes to this thread.
I really never got tired of that view
It kinda felt like a real home - and depending on your income, could look a lot better than your home in the real world - this effect should not be underestimated
My collection of Stormland statues
Close-up of my small collection
A great statue - I really liked that one
A few more perspectives:
My son usually would use the bow, light saber and gun - and import other stuff, but not hard to clean after him 🙂
Gonna miss the paintings:
- and gonna miss the carpet...
The reflections look awesome:
My Home was nothing special, many have spent many more hours decorating their homes. I really hope we soon can get our homes back.
There're also several threads on Reddit:

I've just sent a ticket to Oculus Support about this grave issue.

Small but hopeful udate: I was successful at following the instructions but as mentioned by you and the OP this method does not work for the Quest 2.
I decided to search for another older version of the oculus client app and found a ver 37 of the software, which I was able to install using the same method as the insturctions above. My Quest 2 headset was able to connect to the rift software via air link and load the dash with a Home button. When I launched the home, I would receive a notification that new items for my home have been unlocked and the screen goes black and makes a sound like it loaded the room for a second, before returning back to the dash bar.
I'm guessing v37 is still too old and I need a more recent version before they removed the home. I have not been able to find any other versions but I will continue to look.

That's great work, thanks - maybe reply to the thread on Reddit and some may have a newer version available. I'm guessing up to v. 52 may be fine. v37 may work fine for me though.

OMG I'M in my home! It worked!!!! I used the OP's back up files from the google drive and replaced mine with it. Everything works. Quest 2. Back in Home! Idk how long this fix will last, but wow I'm back in my home for now!

I love my real life home but wow I love my Home in VR so much. Thank you for sharing this fix and thank you OP wherever you are!

Awesome - congrats! You said you found v37 somewhere - do you still have the link? I have not tried to set up everything yet.

Sure, here you go -》https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZC5_jeDcmR1NfT4yrmZ2Y2YW1K-VdEW8
But, before installing v37, I really suggest using these files first -》https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VAhsNauDgIbUSBS9HmKjbcTUvCl-8ypm/view
Just download and follow the instructions you posted from reddit. It was super easy and fast to set up, and it is still working for me on my end. Let me know if you have any questions or if you need help.

Awesome, thanks 👌 - I just downloaded the v37.
Also got new forced firmware last night from Oculus/Meta - and after installing one of my 3 Rift CV1 sensors was dead. Had to take it out of its USB3 port and insert it again, then it came back to life. But my rig is not easily accessible, so this was very annoying, frustrating, and the forced firmware update was great trouble - and many users may be negatively affected if they also now have CV1 sensors suddenly not working.
I'd so much like to get rid of forced updates that break much more than they fix - my Rift CV1 is working perfectly, always has, I'd love to cut the online connection to receive no more forced grabage updates putting my entire setup at risk. 2c. - And update v37 should be perfect for freezing everything 🙂
To me the only reasons I can think of why Meta destroyed our Homes is captured nicely in this quote from Fight Club, sadly:

Just one last thing now you're an experienced Home re-builder 🙂 In case others want to get their Homes back - the "to do list" spans over 28 different instructions - were they all easy to follow, or could some have been better explained?

Another article about how Meta treats old customers by killing their homes:
https://mixed-news.com/en/meta-kills-oculus-home-these-digital-spaces-are-lost-forever/
Interesting how Meta will treat the Quest 2 owners when Quest 3 arrives, in all those years Meta seems capable of only one love - see what happened to Rifts when Quest 1 arrived, and what happened to Quest 1 when Quest 2 arrived... Gonna be very interesting to see how Quest 2 support goes on after the new Quest 3 baby is born (Quest Pro is special as that hmd never sold, today not even reaching 0.01% on Steam, so seems Meta does not focus much on that hmd - it's also too expensive for most users, especially when Meta does not support high-end PCVR anymore by officially supporting new high-end video cards). 2c.
Btw - another video to remember what Meta just killed:

I am heartbroken. WTF is Meta doing?? Trying to tick off the early adopters of VR? Getting rid of Homes is bad enough, but no warning?!? At least, I totally missed the memo if there was. I spent so many hours on my home - that was my little safe space during the pandemic. I loved showing people how cool it was - go ahead, throw the boomerang! Chop some targets with my light sabers! Fire the mini catepult! And now it's all gone and I dont even have a picture for posterity. 😞
I told myself I would never act too old and lose touch with technology... but this just makes me want to not give 2 **bleep**s about any future tech. Just heck with it. So disheartened...
