The most interesting games may be the surprises we get through the year. In early 2023, I had no idea we'd get The 7th Guest VR or Arizona Sunshine 2 🙂 Can't wait for the surprises in 2024! 🙂

Mfw when Pirates VR: Jolly Roger drops:

Bootstrap Island is probably the game I look forward to the most - I've tried the demo and it looks great - performance is great-ish too, but it is a demanding game. Having two pirate games is a luxury - I hope that'll push the Jolly Roger devs a bit, lol. Still, Jolly Rogers looks like a game needing 80 Valve employees to complete it over 4 years, like Alyx, lol, I would not be surprised if the quality of the final game does not match the trailer. But - then again - this gem surprised me a lot - close my favorite game in 2023, even if it's limited - have you tried it?

Btw, it takes some time to make a thread like this one - if I remember some more games, I might add them while it's still 2023 😉 I just added MADiSON VR - out Feb 20.

Border Bots VR from Team17 is also arriving this year - February 8:
While the game does look good, it has no dynamic shadows, which is a red flag to me. I normally do not buy VR games with no proper lighting and shadows, as this easily breaks immersion and presence to me - and looks too low-end. This is a Quest port, and interesting if it's enhanced enough for high-end VR.
Find the game here:

Note that Low-Fi is indeed very much alive - and devs will make the game for PSVR2, PCVR and also 2D. Devs say there will be no Quest port, so Low-Fi is for the high-end only:
"Oh, and before you say "Why not port it to Quest", put down the pipe. I understand that you're not a developer, but take my word for it, that's not happening. Not with this budget(or lack thereof), this sized team , or this generation of devices."

My thoughts too, actually at launch many of the games in the first post are PCVR exclusives (12-13 out of 23).
The PSVR2 is a big help for getting high-end VR experiences though, and great if PSVR2 using 60 fps with reprojections can run PCVR games - as long as we keep getting the premium 90+ fps versions for PCVR 🙂

I thought we lost VR support for Le Mans Ultimate - but we did not, it has been confirmed by the devs:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/2399420/discussions/0/3821914054520617172/
And the game still has a VR tag on the Steam page, but hidden, you have to click on the "+" icon to see all tags.
This is best news today - I just added the game in the main post, Le Mans Ultimate VR then marks the second AAA game for 2024 - last year we only got one, namely F1 2023. Kinda looking surprisingly great for 2024!
- This looks very VR-ish to me:
