Please post your rating of this game taking into consideration fun factor, value for money, overall polish and using the following criteria if you have purchased/played the game:
I only played the demo, which I'm sure means I don't get a vote. However, I have to say that the demo did not compel me to buy the game - thus the reason for my Average vote.
There's a lot of potential here, and some awe-inspiring moments. The feeling of actually moving through water is well done, and the speed of movement and range of vision is just right to both allow you to make a last second escape and give the sense of something BIG moving toward you in the gloom.
I genuinely like it.
However, there are a number of issues including managed text ./ audio prompts for completing tasks (such as "too near" when what it means actually is "get closer") and, unfortunately, I've been knocked out of the experience, or run into situations where a task seems to be complete, but the game simply doesn't move on.
I keep waiting for the next update to simply bring a little more polish.
At first I wasn't so sure, but as I become more familiar with the controls, I'm really liking this game! The graphics are good, the plot is decent, and the concept of time travel is great. I don't mind the educational aspects at all, in fact, it makes you think about the often overlooked underwater dinosaurs. The feeling of being underwater is quite well done. In fact, there were three "underwater" games on offer during the recent oculus summer sale and I bought all three, but this is the first one I've tried out so far.
