Ultima Chess (Devlog) - Ancient Environments | Stockfish

Hey all, hope you're doing great today)

Our team is developing a VR chess game called Ultima Chess, and I would like to share some progress in development. Latest, we completed one of 12 locations for the Ancient faction. Here are a few renders:

looks a bit like the Oculus dash homes

but if there is such a resemblance, it was not done intentionally)

Why were they deleted it?

@ultima_realm  it had a 'too small userbase' according to meta. So instead of making the rooms downloadable for a user to keep, they just turned the servers off.  They're good like that.

Yeah, they didn't even ask, if the users would pay - which I had done - for keeping their homes ‌😢‌.

Well, yes, it's sad, because such a thing could be very well developed, gradually adding new content. I personally like it if in the game I have a shelter, and you can customize it, it's cool.

I just checked with the developer will be able in our game walk around - there will be two modes: one can be over the board with spherical motion, and first-person on the board itself.

I'm sure people will enjoy playing chess in these environments...they look great.👍
