Using Meta Quest 2 Without Controllers – Hand Tracking Support

Hi,

I recently got a Meta Quest 2 headset for free, but it didn’t come with any controllers. I was able to connect it to the Meta Horizon app, but when I try to cast, the headset prompts me to connect controllers. Since I don’t have any, I wanted to know if I can use hand tracking instead.

I’d like to watch YouTube or play games—are there any options available without controllers?

you can use the Quest without controllers, but you need them to complete the setup.

Maybe just borrow controllers from a friend for the setup....... keep in mind - many games need controllers because they  don't support hand tracking

You use your hands....that's what hand tracking do😁

That's why I said, borrow controllers from a friend to complete the setup.

You got the headset for free....maybe consider buying used controllers and you'll have a full functional vr headset,🙂
