There was an impressive amount of votes that came in this year for VR
Game Of The Year. On the list were some top notch titles such as
Fallout 4 VR, LA Noire: The VR Case Files, Sairento VR, Rick and Morty:
Virtual Rick-Ality, Robo Recall, Skyrim VR, Wilson’s Heart, Superhot VR,
Payday 2 VR, The Mage’s Tale, The Invisible Hours, From Other Suns,
Arizona Sunshine, and many more.
You guys voted and we couldn’t agree more. The VR Game Of The Year goes to Lone Echo by Ready At Dawn Studios

I have been holding off on buying this game until I get my 3rd Sensor; which I plan to acquire in January. Yet all the praise I have read about this game between this community, reddit, and Facebook justifies a VR Game of the Year recognition.

If we had a community post here for voting our fav this would win hands down for me

There is something deep, intense and personal with this title, i will not call it a game because it is much more then just a game

You will love this, you really are saving the best of 2017 for last
Look, man. I only need to know one thing: where they are.

You don't have a 3rd sensor yet Zen?  I broke down and got one, you're going to love it.  Let us know what you think of the difference with a 3rd sensor in Jan.  It's awesome.

Really good game, well deserved.

Syndroid
Heroic Explorer
Well deserved!
Regarding the 3. sensor,...I prefered playing Lone Echo seated because I found that standing on the ground feels less immersive when "floating in space".

I was tempted in the holiday sale, but I spent so much on VR titles - and haven't even looked at the ones I bought during summer sales yet, that I decided to wait for the next one. At least I can feel a bit more confident about it - but I did finally pick up The Climb after all this time, for seven quid! 🙂

Zen only has 2 sensors???  😮

@cybereality

I feel you should restrict his posting abilities until he has confirmed 3rd sensor purchase

I actually tried to buy a 3rd sensor when they first became available on the Oculus Store. However, Oculus Support contacted me asking to send a copy of my Drivers License in order to verify the purchase. While I understand the security reasons behind it, sending my DL to an individual that isn't part of an actual financial institute is not something I am fond of doing. So I declined and decided to wait until the sensor became available elsewhere.

Now they can be bought at Best Buy with just my CC which means I should have one this month! Plus my Best Buy membership status is at Elite, so I get points for it hah.

I had a similar issue with Google. Some time ago I was playing a mobile game on my Galaxy phone (I think it was Clash of Clans). I wanted to spend $20 on some in-game fun, but Google wanted me to open a Google Wallet account. And when I tried... some bloke from Google Support asked me to send them my Drivers License.

Instead, I simply installed the game on my iPad and bought it through Apple using just my CC. Interestingly enough, about 6 months later Google randomly granted my Google Wallet account approval with full purchasing privileges.

In the present day, financial institutes are bound by multiple laws and regulations to protect consumers and their money. Corporations, however, are bound by more general guidelines such as PCI Compliance and laws that center around a less specific form of common sense and due care. Thus I am less inclined to give Benjamin a combination of my United States Citizen legal identifiers paired with my financials. I'd rather just... wait longer.

I've never had that happen, is this becoming a thing? I'm like you Zen, would never send something like a drivers licence to anyone. The only time I've given a copy of my DL to someone was to admin at work so I could use one of the company cars.
