Well my OR is slated for delivery tomorrow (huzzah!) and after years of dreaming, I'll finally have a VR setup.  This is the dream of a 12 year old little boy (some 22 years ago) who wanted one of those huge ginormous Samsung VR helmets that covered your entire head and rested on your shoulders.

So on with the big question at hand... with the exception of AltspaceVR, are there any other applications out there that allow for multi-user access?  While I understand there's nothing like the Oasis* available to anyone (yet?), I was hoping that there might be a space for mutli-user interaction.  I'll be looking back in on SecondLife and seeing how the compatability might be, but for now, it seems as if the polygon-inspired AltSpaceVR might be the only option.

What do you folks think?  Ideas?  Thoughts?  Suggestions?

Many thanks from North of 60'.

After playing around in Alt space, I would love to have my own unique avatar. There's only a small amount in Alt space. I am hoping they focus on a customization feature, even to allow our own pictures.

Riftmax is long gone. I think Convrge has stopped development as well.

VRChat was one of the ones from a long time ago. I think they're still around. Their blog was updated 5 days ago.

JanusVR I believe got funded so they should still be around.

Roger that!
I'll have a look in on JanusVR and see how well it works.

In the last 24 hours, I've spent a portion of time using AltSpaceVR and have considered re-installing SecondLife, however I understand that they do NOT have native support for Oculus CV1... Considering the size and scope of SecondLife, I feel it would likely be in their best interest to include native support especially considering how much money they already make and how much more they could bring in.

But... that's just my impression!

Thanks folks!
