Oops! - this one  o:)

The attentive and reflective observer may notice that - again - the only hmd shown is the CV1  😉

After watching the above video I'm convinced - just like Asgard's Wrath and Stormland - that The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners was not made for Index, Rift-S, O+, Reverb and certainly not any new Pimax hmds. No, this games was made for the Oculus Rift CV1! It does make sense with the game probably having been in development for several years .

Lone Echo and Robo Recall were made for the cv1 but they're better on the Rift-S or Index.

I completely disagree, at least for Lone Echo - TAA works perfectly using CV1, but TAA completely destroys the game when using lcd hmds making everything with TAA look super-blurry, like having my eyes dripped with liquid butter, lol. TAA has same effect in Asgard's Wrath - but you need a CV1 (Vive?) to see it. CV1 is razor-sharp with TAA, lcd hmds are not. And the dungeons in Asgard's Wrath look so much better with oled - much too bright using lcd.
I have to use res 150+ % and 4xMSAA (and not TAA) to get an acceptable image quality using Index in Lone Echo which starts to match CV1 ss 2.0 TAA - now you're right that the game looks awesome with the Index, but I'm down to 15-20 fps, don't think even 3080 Ti will be enough for solid 90 fps. It'll be a wonderful day when I can play Lone Echo Index res 200% 4xMSAA in solid 90 fps 😉
Also try the Lone Echo 2 Trailer Experience (very sure it's soaked in TAA that can't be disabled) - first CV1 ss 2.0, then Index, which one looks the best?
Robo Recall does look better than Lone Echo though, you can't use TAA but only MSAA in that game. But until I get something faster than 1080, I can't go beyond res 100% using Index in order to get 90 fps (and I've got no asw 2.0 with the Index to save me) - and I have to use very demanding MSAA to get rid of jaggies. I'm not sure Index res 100% 4xMSAA looks pr performs better than CV1 ss 2.0 2xMSAA in that game - but it would if Index res 150+ % 90 fps was possible, which it probably is using your 2080 Ti.
In very dark locations, I greatly prefer oled - lcd is way too bright. Interesting to see if Saints & Sinners contains many dark locations - rule of thumb, when the spud starts showing in the CV1, the game usually looks way too bright in lcd hmds. 2c.

This dude explains the great problem of lcd hmds in very dark game in a great way:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ValveIndex/comments/esnlm9/any_fix_for_dark_games_on_the_index/

Personally I did use the Index for some months and started to adjust to the grayness and thinking it was ok. But it's not, Darth Vader is not dressed in a gray suit. Some games simply are designed for oled hmds and require true blacks.
Now, Saints & Sinners may be different, impossible to tell before testing the game, but seeing the devs talking about getting colors perfect etc and then seeing them all use CV1s is kinda a red flag to me.

Devs also said that the game will support Quest cross-buy:

This could be another red flag if poly levels have been adjusted to GearVR-levels, but let's hope the devs did something similar to the devs behind Vader Immortal, namely made a high-poly PCVR version and then cut it down to Quest level.
Also, wanting to release the game on PS and Quest may mean that the devs have focused a lot on performance, because PS and Quest have much more limited processor capacities, and I really hope the game will perform awesomely using the Index res 150+ %...
The game is available on Steam and in the Oculus Store in a few hours.

Out of all the VR games there is this is the one I'm most looking forward to playing. I haven't even purchased games like Asgard's Wrath or Stormland yet because horror games are my thing. It's about time we got a horror game to play and I just hope it doesn't disappoint in game play and visuals.

Strange - Steam says the game is 15GB, Oculus Store says 34GB...

The difference between Saints & Sinners and Onslaught seems to be that S&S is based on the comic books and contains more comic-like graphics (cell-shaded-like?), while Onslaught is more realistic in textures and is based on the TV show.

34GB for cell-shaded graphics do seem a lot - I bet the 15GB may be more correct...

What is Onslaught is it out yet?

There're 2 Walking Dead VR games arriving this year. Onslaught is the second game:

Due to Saints & Sinners, Onslaught devs have now decided to delay their game - Onslaught should have been out now too.

Onslaught is made by the devs behind Westworld - does look purdy:

Review: The best VR game so far (obviously from some strange dude who forgot to take his methylphenidate tablets and never played Lone Echo, Asgard's Wrath or Stormland, lol)
