What was your most mind blowing experience in VR ?

I have a quest 2 for 7 months now. I recently bought Elite Dangerous, I didn't know what it was and I'm still lost in the game... But **bleep**, this game is so beautiful for a 2014 game, the immersion is just amazing!!! I was lost in my spaceship, everything was off, just me and the infinity of space !! This is perhaps the best moment where I felt like it was unreal but real at the same time. I was there in space for the first time! I can't wait to get to our solar system to really feel like we're all here on this rock, and that we're nothing in the universe...

Share your best moment in VR, I want to lost the reality like this time...

I think I'm just going to agree with both @teronhexi  and @J40NYR  on this one.  I think I first played Elite in the DK1 (maybe) then didn't play it in the DK2 because I wanted to wait for CV1.  So many great things about it.

HL Alyx - yeah, incredible textures in that game.  It's great to play through it and listen to the devs discussing the work that went in to creating it.

Big PC, all the headsets, now using Quest 3

Mine is quite an obvious one. That first moment in Half life Alyx where you are on the balcony. Madness, so lifelike. The little bits of detail that reward you for taking your time and exploring the environment.

But as a close second for me was the wanderer. The whole game is a mind blowing experience, well worth picking up as its only a few £/$

Love this!! Let me see well to be honest, I first got into VR chat due to a project. I was shocked haha by how we were avatars and we could see our hands. I went into a world where it was a 2 floor house and the sky was blue like the ocean. You could see the sea animals as a neon outline it was breathtaking. I never knew technology was so advanced.

I love VR and hope to be in it's journey for long!

We are all mad here.

Same for me; the balcony in Alyx. As for "mechanics", when I first realized (in Alyx as well) that I could hide my body behind an object, and stick my gun out and shoot. Something I could never do with WASD and desktop gaming...

For me the most mind-blowing this was when I first played Demeo. Seeing the DnD like characters come to life and actually move besides the pieces smacking each other and disappearing got me so excited. Now this game has become top of my list haha.

I got into VR for this

Just messing around with the biro @ 5:46 is mind blowing.

Then the landable version

But then, the old Oculus home rooms are also a wonder to behold.
