All that person did in the Reddit thread was try and be lazy and not set things up in Steam Vr.
Maybe it doesn't work this way but my thinking is I'd rather get a game through Steam so any future headset I get that may not be from Oculus will be able to play it just fine.
First i bought it from steam then I bought it from oculus store. I usually buy games from steam but it didnt work properly on me. I couldnt reset position, i was underground. i returned it from steam and bought it from oculus store.
Re- Bought it on Home after I found out that the Steam version doesn't use the full Oculus SDK (no audio unless you change your default device in the Control Panel)....But sad to see that the multiplayer is broken and we are getting disconnected all the time

Just a heads up for those that don't already know - if you buy STEAM version from Humble Store or Green Man Gaming, you won't be eligible for a refund from STEAM.
GMG isn't offering refunds either; I haven't checked if HS offers refunds from their site directly.
