companion mode in every game or app

It would be wonderful if Meta added a companion mode into the vr experiences, which could be run from a second headset or (why not) from the Meta smartphone app that could be plugged into a headset for phones. I wish I could accompany my son in vr experiences, from games to animations. I already use mirroring but I mean something much more engaging and that doesn't force you to see from the outside what the wearer sees. I don't expect a coop or multiplayer mode but a simple way in which a member of the family can enter the game session without interacting or interfering with the main user, but only being able to look around so they can live the experience together, and what's more It is important to guide and assist your child, or a beginner in a vr experience.
I let my son try the Wonderful you experience and I imagined it would be even more exciting if it were me and him or him and his mother immersed together in showing him how he was born.
Although there is mirroring, I often give up playing when I'm not alone because when I wear the viewer, whether you want it or not, you isolate yourself from whoever is with you.
That's why I'd be willing to pay for a full vr companion app or even buy more headsets if you could have experiences like the above, virtu/really alongside mine.

It sounds like you are asking for cooperative multiplayer, which many games have. The issue with viewing someone elses game on another headset from their perspective is almost instant nausea, and existing passively in the same space on a different headset is something that would have to be programmed into every game.

no but in fact I don't want to see from the point of view of the main player (that's why mirroring already makes me nauseous so I understand what you mean) but as you say I would be happy to just exist passively and be able to see from my point of view. just assist. I don't understand if you mean that this thing is already planned and it's me who missed it or you mean that it would be appropriate for it to already exist and I completely agree with you.

It's not something that's possible to implement globally, ie in hardware or at the OS level. Every game or app would have to implement it individually and unless Meta somehow make it a mandatory requirement it'll be limited to only those games, likely multiplayer games, that choose to do so.

I'd love something like this to show people overly complex games like Elite Dangerous, DCS, X-Plane, etc, with them as a passenger. Or go on a road trip in Euro Truck Sim 2.

(Well, Elite does kind of have this)

However as user_901925786032222 says, it isn't possible to globally do this, each game would need to implement it. It would still effectively be a multiplayer game, just with one player as a spectator only.
