i just got given some obscenely high end headphones that sound incredibly 3 dimensional even when making music with DearVR pro, which is still not as good as even an average-sound-quality VR game although definitely the best we'll ever get for music. but when my VR-capable rig arrrives (it's a workstation but that doesn't mean i don't want to play with it) i want to have my mind blown by the most terrifyingly realistic sense of space and sound that VR has to offer. i remember Onward being pretty darn good
