Thanks for sharing Dan! Added your link to the first post. Good to read about your dilemmas, how you approached render optimization and your outlook on the future of the project. Hope to see your game make it to the store eventually.

We definitely have a big postmortem to work on. I'll probably edit this to include it when we're done writing it up.

I enjoyed reading both of your guys' though. Galaxy Grapple turned out really well also considering the struggles you had.

Excellent post, thank you for sharing (at work now, will have more comments later). Now that I'm not a finalist I'll have the time to stop worrying and finish my own. 😃

Thanks a lot; that's good to hear 🙂 Phaseshift is such a cool idea; really bold to do it with pixel art, too.

Good read Jake, I've put it up in the first post. Thanks!

I guess we suffered from the same over-extending syndrome (why?! indeed). Would love to get my hands on the fully finished Private Eye GearVR version, I really like the atmosphere.
I'm also quite hesitant about naming a release date, it depends on the project of course, but there's usually a big difference between a jam game and a final fledged release version of the game. Getting it absolutely right and release worthy often takes way way longer than expected, especially in a pioneering environment such as this one. GL!
