Thanks for providing feedback on Cyberdrifter. I have been working on it since Mar 2017 and am ready to receive early market signal from fellow VR developers. Currently Cyberdrifter is available in early access with 5 complete levels and is receiving a significant update which is currently in Beta and in need of testing . Please contact me with your Oculus email address & I will add you to the Beta branch.
Main points I'm looking for feedback on: Performance - I am currently running an i7 1080 setup so it's hard to judge how it will perform on a lower spec. Movement - Are there enough locomotion options for the player to feel comfortable? Gameplay loop - Is it fun to play? Bugs for obvious reasons. Any additions/changes you wish to see added for a future update.
Hey Ralph, great to have you on board! I should have listed the things to have a look at, I'll edit the main post. Main ones are: Performance - I am currently running an i7 1080 setup so it's hard to judge how it will perform on a lower spec. Movement - Are there enough locomotion options for the player to feel comfortable? Gameplay loop - Is it fun to play? Bugs for obvious reasons. Any additions/changes you wish to see added for a future update.
Hey Ralph, sorry for the late response I was on a short break. Thanks for the great feedback, this gives me a few things to work on. Hand models are back in the development build with a holster gun/utility mode as can be seen in this gif from a recent promo video. I currently have movement velocity & turn speed clamped so there is no acceleration or change of velocity connected to how far the thumb stick is pushed.
I'll get to work on a new updated build taking into account your feedback and announce when it's ready.
Thanks again for your time Ralph, I really appreciate it!
