SteamVR games launching in Oculus mode over Link

Hi! I'm trying to play a flight simulator I have called X-Plane 11 which is on steam. When I go into the SteamVR home to open it, i hit it and it says "up next: x plane" or whatever, then after a few seconds it takes me out of SteamVR, into the Oculu...
