Alright, so I'll run down what I've tried so far...First - I have one
monitor plugged into my Gigabyte GTX 1080 Turbo OC through the DVI-D
slot.I installed the Oculus Rift home program and began the setup,
plugged in the 2 sensors and the USB and HDM...
I bought the rift about 6 weeks ago, played a variety of games on it,
got bored of it within 2 weeks.The technology just isn't there yet, not

My rift is now in the display port with the adapter. My monitors are in
the HDMI and DVI-D ports. I bought my adapter from a well known computer
store, and thought it would work since it has all the specs, 4k, ect
ect.Is your adapter active or passiv...
I just had to do the same thing today, except it was cause my rift HDMI
wasn't being detected.The Displayport to HDMI will work, but it's better
to just get the shortest adapter possible, not a long cable.
I'm in the same boat. Try a Displayport to HDMI adapter. That sort of
fixed my issue, as now my HDMI is detected, but my screen goes black
after about a minute.
