Just wanted to update, I finally got the sync symbol about a week ago.
So it's working now. Something I had to do once it worked though was
reinstall the oculus app on my phone. It didn't work or show any images
with the app that was already installe...
Thanks for letting us know, I was saving that as a last resort option
but it's good to know that even factory resetting and deleting all my
data won't work. Saves me a ton with that knowledge, so thank you for
that update.

oculus app won't work. When you plug the phone into the Gear VR it
