Exo Player needs the Secure Surface to play protected content so the oculus mobile sdk use Secure Surface or Texture surface ?

is there any working example to stream a video on GearVR using Exo Player (native mobile SDK) ..?

I am the Android developer with core java skills, when i am checking the mobile sdk sample apps i can see the majority of code in c++ so to develop vr apps for android requires c++ skills as well ? If not please provide the android sample apps link.O...
