I have a headset that I like to use that has 7.1 surround sound. It
sucks whenever I boot up the game and the headset isn't plugged in. I
have to close the game, plug the headset in, and then reboot the game.

Why? Generally, no form of social media tells the other person when a
friend request has been rejected, for the sake of the privacy of the
person who rejected it.
This will never happen. They are doing sales on game packs to combat
exactly this: purchasing games on Steam. It's the call of the developer
whether they over you an Oculus key or not.
