Finally updated to 1.7.0, my controller works fine when im in home but
disconnects once I start a game. Had to re pair it once the update had
finished, worked for a while now it doesnt want to stay connected no
matter how many times I try to pair it....

This is ridiculous, if your someone who's going to get this offended in
virtual reality then just stay off the internet/games altogether and go
find something else to cry about.
It's ironic seeing this post as I too had serious issues with insomnia
after using the rift for a couple hours before bed. I ended up taking a
long break from virtual reality and thankfully have gotten back to
sleeping just fine hope you find a solut...
Have you tried monitoring your temps to see if perhaps your CPU is
throttling? That laptop should be able to manage with no issues my only
concern is that it contains a mobile CPU.
