Yeah I went and reread the PTC fine print and it does say that if you
disable PTC and you're ahead of current release it will reset and
rollback. I just wish it gave another reminder when you actually do it
in the app. The question that still remains...

so turning off PTC and hitting update in my headset forced a factory
reset with no warning and rolled me back to v54 with no option to
update. guess I'm going back on PTC again and never disabling it
