I believe this was their intention to degrade the battery life of a
fully functional Quest 2's. It's been 8 months since I first posted
about this issue, and they don't seem to be working on a fix.
I will keep commenting for visibility, would like for this issue to be

No there is no solution on this from Meta... If you read the thread to
re-calibrate the battery you have to click the power button and wait at
least 10 seconds then click it again the battery should re-calibrate...
