I think what happens is when the latest update gets pushed, affecting
the file that doesn't exist (as it's renamed) it simply redownloads it.

It's christmas dude, just chill out , both our solutions work fine but
imo mine is easier for less tech-knowledgeable people, hope you have a

Did you mean to actually contribute anything to this thread? I'm
providing a solution to a problem till it gets fixed properly. It's
better to be able to use the headset without constant lag but without
the remote desktop than not.
I think this is just you as nobody else is having that happen with this
issue, as I've mentioned previously, you just have to delete
'RemoteDesktopCompanion.exe' from Program
Files/Oculus/Support/oculus-remote-desktop and it fixes the issue
I've contacted Meta support and had a nice chat, just waiting for the
email to come through so I can send the log but it seems like they're
going to pass it on to the developers so it can get fixed.
