So I installed the 0.4.1 runtime, and I had a bunch of issues with
nearly everything, so I have attempted (unsuccessfully) to downgrade
back to 0.4 just to have something working. But one of the weirder
issues which cropped up when I updated, (and wa...
Previously I had just assumed that Direct Mode apps made in Unity just
weren't working at all. Most wouldn't show up at all, but if they did,
they were in a corner of my left eye and basically unusable. I decided
to try changing from my native deskto...
I haven't tested again to see if it is reproducible, but earlier I
accidentally clicked the "Extend Desktop to the Rift" button twice in
quick succession, so that it attempted to change the mode while it was
already in the middle of changing. And the...
(decided to xpost from reddit since I thought the idea was really
interesting)Since just the black pixels in DK2 seem to change color at a
slower rate than they should, it is perhaps possible that the rate of
change could be somewhat compensated for ...
While I do understand the need for the warning from a consumer product

Mode works fine in both the OculusConfigTool desk scene and in
OculusWorldDemo. It is only Unity applications that have an issue.
Additionally, I believe the mode switching issue...

This shouldn't be necessary. All that's necessary is that the Unity
application is started Windowed at the resolution that matches the
Rift.I'll have to take another look at it wh...
Did a bit more research. It seems broken at any resolution other than
1080p, although I can't test higher ones since my monitor doesn't
support it. It also appears that the distortion and scale only get
corrected after you run the unity app once with...
