I just did the latest update for my Meta Quest 2 (v57), yay I have
legs!! Booo!! the software is broken... When I'm in my Oculus Home, my
thumbsticks are inoperative... whenever I move them around they don't
respond... at first I moved over to my Ava...
After one of the last updates, my headset (Day one 64Gb with very little
hours on it) stopped charging past 55%... When I tap the power button
(while the headset is off) to get the battery percentage, the percentage
says 100%, but the orange 'chargin...
So.. come to find out... the menu bar at the bottom of the screen was
blocking my controller inputs... once I moved the menu up and/or out of
the way, I was able to move freely and all my controller inputs were
fine... something's wrong with that... ...
Ok... so it looks like the controllers actually DO work, but only when I
have my arm stretched straight out in front of me.... if I rest my
elbows on my chair (with the controllers in full sight of the headset)
and try to move, they become sporadic.....
I just got my replacement OQ2 and it works perfectly and look awesome…
they even included the stock strap, facial interface, and silicone
sleeve (I only returned my OQ2 body like they requested) my only problem
is that I can’t get my air link to work...
Well then that's not a good sign... that means that the charging system
of the Oculus isn't shutting down after charging is complete and is
overcharging cells until they fail... (IMO)
