Ive been using alvr since pretty-much day one on the quest and I love
it, mostly been playing racing games and shooters and its been a great
experience once you set it all up properly so obviously im keen to get
the oculus link working as soon as pos...
you don't have to change the guardian as the floor height is set, she
should be able to hold right oculus button when she is in the home
screen/room and it will recenter the view to the headset.
I have the 1060 6gb in my asus tuf laptop, it does run most shooters ok
or at high graphics but you need to tinker for racing games ive found,
also the 3.2 usb 90 degree adapter seemed to be behind the v12 crashes,
was ok on first beta though

is a pretty decent guide, I used a combination of this and youtube vids
to get it working, its not too bad just confusing at first.
it works on mine, was working well but since v12 its all gone a bit
rubbish with bad framererates, slowdown and wobbly screen. And it
crashes after a few mins most of the time.
