I upgraded my CV1 to the S and everything works great, until I shutdown
my pc. My pc will shut down all the way, turn off, then withing 30
seconds reboot. The thing is this only happens when my S is plugged in.

Try to disable VIA USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft),
reboot make sure it is off and then try again.. Do no uninstall it or
windows will reinstall it.
What other host controllers are in device manager? I have a renseas usb
3 extensible host controller and if I do not disable it (killing my
other usb 3 ports) my fresco logic card (the one recommended way back
when) wont work. Something to look at?
