i find that happens when you move too far away from the camera. Maybe you need to re-run the camera set-up utility as perhaps I do too.

It is indeed marvelous in the rift but has anyone managed to play this game all the way through? I'm finding it quite harrowing to play to the point where it's almost too real to be fun. 
