I just got my rift a few days ago. I tried to set it up and it worked
until it told me to go into the VR. I didn’t see anything on the headset
and it was just a black screen. If anybody can help me I’d greatly
appreciate it.
Ok, quick update: I had the same problem, and tried reverting the
graphics card drivers to an older version, and it works completely fine
now. You can look up how to do it since I can't post links yet.
I have the same problem here, the same graphics card(1660ti). I tried
the Rift on a different computer with a 1660 super and it worked
perfectly fine, if you can get another pc to try it on it could work on
that. Let me know if an HDMI booster works ...
I'm having the same problem, but I have a 1660Ti. I've managed to try
the headset on another computer with a 1660 super and it works perfectly
fine. (The computer is an HP Omen 30L)
The issue could be just your PC, because I tried my rift with the same
problem(orange light and not recognizing HDMI) on his computer with a
GTX 1660 Super, and it works perfectly fine. The cable is most likely
fine, the PC might be the problem.
