After almost 2 years of working fine, suddenly my Quest 1 will not fully
boot to home. I get the Oculus logo, then three dots, then just black.
Volume and IPD slider shows in the display. If I hold the right
controller button, it will circle like it'...
I'm using innovator edition Gear VR with a S6. Everything runs fine, but
there is a cursor dot in the middle of the screen when I watch anything
in Oculus Video. Is this a known bug?
Do you expect most of the content for the new consumer version to also
work with the Innovator version? I remember there being some minor
differences between the Note 4 and S6 versions.
I hadn't used my Gear VR in a month or two. Just got it out this weekend
and was surprised how much it stutters on the Oculus home menus. I made
sure the S6 wasn't too hot. I restarted it and I actively disabled some
apps, but it still wasn't smooth....
I ended up having to do a factory reset. I did it from the headset
itself (not using an app). If that doesn't work for you, I hope Oculus
will help you get it fixed.
I just didn't realize how far you have to go through it to get
passthrough. I thought it faded in as you approach the edge, which is
mostly wall for me.
