I can confirm that the discontinued version of Apple’s USB C to HDMI adapter works flawlessly. The new model will not work.

I went out and bought Apple’s newest USB C to HDMI adapter. Doesn’t work. I’ll try to find the older model you suggested and let you guys know if it works.

Good luck! If that cable is good, you might need to go with a breakout box with its own power supply.
