Sadly, OpenGL in direct HMD mode seems to be broken (see
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=10921 ).In extended mode I get it to run but with
lots of judder: Running the DK2 at 75Hz my app reports 75FPS rendered
but it feels like less frames. If I set it to 60Hz, ...
Hello, maybe someone from Oculus or someone with a DK2 can answer this:
Will the DK2 come with Linux support out of the box (drivers for the
camera?) and will the DK2 need a newer SDK than the one already
available online?I'm not asking if there will ...
Hello, students of mine have implemented the "SPAG RollerCoaster" for the
Rift which also let's you redefine the tracks with a build-in editor. We
showed this at last years gamescom as one of our projects that we did
for VR. All is done from scratch i...
Hi,I came up with another idea of how to add a latency tester into the
Rift which can be used while playing without the use of additional
photosensors:The application sends a command via USB to the HMD to start
the test (let’s call this the START_TES...
Hello,as far as I understand it, the DeviceEnumerator should
be used to list all the connected Rifts and select the one to be used
(if not, why should there be an enumerator?). Sadly, I only see one Rift
listed even if I attach two at the same time (...

know the SDK includes stuff for the distortion m...
You would need one per students (at least a set of about 30 for one
class) plus powerful PCs and - most importantly - good software. Maybe
in 10 years. VR has huge potentials for education, but we are not there
yet.
As bigmike20vt said, SDE is a hardware limit.DSR is supersampling with
better marketing, nothing more. Any game can implement this kind of
supersampling: render into a bigger offscreen buffer and downscale with
a good filter. BTW, there seems to be n...
Using the moonlanding to show off the global illumination is a pretty
clever move. Media will cover the moon hoax aspect and thus cover a new
GPU even tho they would normally never cover a new piece of hardware. The
landing site is also a quite simple...

Imaging it has a 2560*1600 screen, the CV1 might have 2560*1440 -> how
many trolls would scream that CV1...
