For the past week, my oculus headset would only display a black screen
when I tried to use oculus games or apps. There was sound coming through
the headset and I also would occasionally see a loading hourglass but
the games wouldn't show on the heads...
Did you look into your windows display settings to see if the oculus was
showing up as two small displays. The oculus displays should not be
visible in the windows display settings so if they are you have an
issue.

display settings and saw 2 additional displays that were added at some
point. I removed the 2 displays, leaving only my monitor active and the
rift worked after that.
