HELP! 2FA Meta Quest Login Loop , but Its Connected To Account Center
First - impossible to get direct support this is my last effort. I had to create this new account with a different email just to be able to post this in hopes a human with empathy and understanding from meta can actually do something. I've tried everything else for HOURS over DAYS. THE MAIN PROBLEM MetaStoreHelp Unable to access my meta account because its asking for 2FA as it says "You've asked us to require a login code when anyone tries to access your Meta account with a password." I don't recall doing this, (I thought I created the account using the facebook login button a few years ago) either way there is no backup method, since even if I try to change my password, get the same Loop of needing a code. It wont allow me to reconnect with my verified email address that I have access to if its requiring a code from a 2FA because its saying that I asked to require a login code when anyone tries to access your Meta account with a password. Something that I do not believe I ever did in the first place. So if I have the correct email, and access to that email, but not the 2FA, there is no other options and I am stuck in an endless loop! Here are some facts that could help support: I am reaching out on a different email login, because I can't even login here with my existing meta login email for support My Meta Quest 3 HEADSET is still connected and logged in to horizon The horizon APP on my iphone is NOT logged and when I try to connect, same 2FA loop I do not have Google Authenticator or backup codes with this meta quest, but I do have it set up and working with my Facebook login, which is how I thought I originally created the account with by using facebook login, but I could be mistaken. At minimum it uses my email I have access to. I tried entering my serial to get support here, but the message says " Support isn’t available for this device." - the code is correct, and valid. I purchased the device new from a store a few years ago. Meta Quest is still connected to my Meta Account Center, along with my other facebook and instagram accounts. I can login to facebook or instagram and see meta there. But when I try to access it under the 2FA, same LOOP. I am verified with picture ID on meta account center I have payment methods all setup and actively working for purchases on the headset I tried doing all the same things ON the meta headset to do all the same things, and can't. NO ACCESS LOOP Everything I do, puts me back into the loop of getting a code, but nothing I have will receive this code. Only thing I have NOT done, is log out on the HEADSET, for fear that I wont be able to login again on it, and lose everything There should be some type of hardware failsafe, or at the very least, since I already have this connected to meta account center with access to everything else, I should at least be able to gain access that way via back door or something. I desperately need someone real help here. How can I ever get another headset or even buy new software. Hi everyone, I really need help. I recently reset my phone and lost access to the authentication app that was linked to my Facebook 2FA. Now I’m completely locked out of my account. Unfortunately,I didn’t save any backup codes, and Facebook only asks for the 2FA code when I try to log in, no other recovery option appears. My Facebook account still shows up in my Meta Account Center, but I can’t access it. I have the email and password.I can enter them, but I’m completely stuck at the step that asks for the authentication code. This account is really important to me, and I’m getting desperate. I’ve tried everything, support forms, help pages, recovery links. I couldn’t submit a ticket through the support website too, and live chat hasn’t helped either. Nothing works. I have an account that was made soley for the meta quest. I am logged into my meta quest, but I can log into that account on my phone or pc because of 2fa. I don't know how to contact anyone other than this. I was wondering if there was some way to disable 2fa with support? As subject, I lost my developer account and can't verify again. Once I logout from app Meta Quest, I found that I lost my developer account when I login. I tried to setup two-factor authentication but I can't recieve SMS although waited for few minutes. Even I tried different phone number. Can anyone help me but I wouldn't like to add credit card. Hi. I recently had to reset my phone and lost my access to my Authenticator app which could generate codes to log into Meta. Now when I try to log in at auth.meta.com I am asked to input the code from my authenticator app. which I no longer have. I urgently need to fix this issue but, like many people, there are some extremely frustrating roadblocks, namely: • In order to even email you on this forum I've had to set up ANOTHER Meta account. See my username? That's simply because you can only email support if you're logged in, which I can't do because... well you get the picture. I hope you can see how frustrating that is. • Beyond this forum there is simply no information whatsoever about how to reinstate a lost 2FA account. I saved some 8 digit reset codes when I set it up, but there are no instructions on these mysterious codes, where to input them, or what to do with them. • Any suggestions to "visit support" end up in a round-robin of frustration with no actual information or way to contact anyone. Every endpoint of your support pages ends up at a single web form, which, when dutifully filled, out, gets an (albeit polite) email from "Meta Store support" saying "As much as we're delighted to help you regarding your concern, we are only limited to assisting with issues related to Meta Quest products and services. One alternative that we could give you is to directly go to the developer. You may click here to visit their website." That takes you to.. wait for it... developer.oculus.com which has lots of pages of "Known Issues", "FAQ", and "Documents" but no way of actually contacting anybody, and no information about this issue. • I simply cannot be the only person experiencing this, and you simply cannot be an 870 billion dollar company and not have figured this out. I work in innovation at a very large company and we have hundred of Meta Quest devices, with millions of dollars spend on development of Meta products. And yet by simply losing a phone everything has come to a griding halt. So PLEASE, send me a Direct Message through this forum OR explain how I can reset my Authenticator app using the mysterious 8 digit codes that I faithfully saved to my hard drive. Hello, I am incredibly frustrated. For the past two days, I have been unable to verify my phone number with 2FA in order to gain access to "create an organization" so I can enable dev mode on my Quest 2. My phone number has been entered correctly, the problem is with Meta not sending me a text message with the 6 digit code needed to verify. I have scoured the internet and seen other posts with the same problem, yet no solution or acknowledgment. Due to this inability to verify, I cannot develop content for the platform, and will be left with no choice but to abandon Meta and purchase a competitor headset. I reached out to the general quest support (As there is no "Contact us" on the developer support webpage), and after a lengthy session they simply redirected me back here. I'm really sad because I need to update my software and after recent updates I'm no longer developer and I can't even run my builds on my Quest2 and Meta Quest Pro devices. I've managed to get into developer mode by enable 2FA in the past but now I'm not sure if that's enough? I can't get any SMS-authentication codes because it seems to be broken.
