Copyright and conscientious use of 2D video in 3D transformation
I am an inventor and retired physics associate professor, so I respect copyright and always try to cite my sources of information. Am I right in considering my use of 2D video fragments I found on the Internet to be conscientious (with an indication and thanks to the author in my video description, a week after my not answered request to the author in a comment to his video on YouTube/FB about his lack of objections to such use, and disappearance of this comment) for transformation into 3D?884Views0likes0CommentsCan you please help us regarding a query that we are allowed to create an APP for QUEST...
Hello Everyone, Can you please help us regarding a query that we are allowed to create an APP for QUEST that is a "marketplace" that at the beginning is showing 3d videos based on geolocation? Especially I need to know if it is possible to develop the APP in 2d, like the browser or Instagram or similar apps that don't force us to create a 3d ambient. Thanks, Imran753Views1like0CommentsBest practice for having a user input information, Switch between 2d/3d?
Hello Everyone, I have just a quick question. I am integrating the Facebook SDK into a project I am working on. At some point during the "First-time setup" the user will be asked if they want to connect their facebook account to our application. The only way I can think of this to be possible would be to have a message that asks them to take off their rift and enter their facebook information and then once they are done with that, they put the rift back on. I am not sure if this is the best practice (or even allowed for Oculus store submissions), or if there is a better alternative. Open to any thoughts/suggestions. Thanks for your time!966Views0likes2Comments2D Flash Games For Oculus Rift
I'm not very familiar with making games in 3D, but I have used Macromedia/Adobe Flash for quite some time now, which is used to make 2D animations and games. So I'd like to see if you can create something that works for the Rift. Another thing to mention is that you can run a flash on anything really, so you don't need a particularly good computer. I don't have my Rift yet so if you could try a few things, then that would be highly appreciated. The number in the bottom left corner is supposed to be the PD, but all it really is, is a variable that tells how many pixels apart the objects should be on the screens. Then that is divided by another variable which is bigger if it is supposed to be far away. What I would like to know is if the red ball appear to be close and if the mountains appear to be far away, if so, how close and far away. Also what your PD is, and what you set the number to, so that I can make it more accurate. If there aren't enough to look at in order to make a judgement, please let me know. All you need other than the main file, is holophone3d's overlay which distorts the screen, which can be found on the middle of the page here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=299 To open the file, just right click and open with any web browser.
