Define Your Style Choose a cohesive visual style for your world (futuristic, fantasy, industrial, natural, etc.) Determine your color palette - consider using contrasting colors Decide on the mood and atmosphere (mysterious, welcoming, abandoned, etc.) 💡 Tip: Find an image to draw inspiration for the style you are looking for 🤖 Use the Mesh Gen tools in the Desktop Editor for the following steps. Check out the linked documentation for step-by-step guidance. 2. Design Your Landing Pad Using the Mesh Gen tool, create a distinctive landing pad where players begin Make this structure visually unique and memorable Consider how this structure leads players to the next destination 3. Plan Your Surroundings What environment will surround your players? (Mountains, cityscape, alien landscape, etc.) Select 3-5 types of environmental objects that create visual interest (Trees, rocks, characters, etc.) Position these elements to naturally frame and guide view toward the pathway 4. Craft Your Pathway Design a clear path that draws the eye forward Use elements like lighting, color contrast, or physical structures to highlight the route Ensure the path remains obvious when viewed from multiple angles Pro tip: Create gentle curves or interesting elevation changes that maintain visual flow 5. Create the Discovery Point Design a rewarding endpoint with a discoverable object or directional marker (usually would be an item that would have more details then the rest of the assets - your Hero Piece) Make this element visually distinctive but consistent with your overall style Consider how to make this element "pop" from its surroundings (could be higher details, contrasting colors, lighting, or VFX) Key Tips for Success: Learn how to use the Mesh Gen Tool Use this linked tutorial to learn how Prompting and its possibilities Don’t be afraid to take extra time on your prompts! The more specific you are with helping the AI understand your vision, the closer the results will get! Details matter! Be specific about details like materials, lighting, style, scale, and mood. Tip: There's an option to make your meshes generate in different sizes from small, medium, to large. Ranging from a 1k vert count to a 15k vert count. Giving you control on how detailed your meshes generate. Refining the Asset! Once you've approved one of the generated mesh shapes, all there is to do is press [Texture this model] After texture has been generated press [Save Model] Tip: If you wish to retexture the model, enter Gen AI texture workspace while the mesh is actively selected in your scene. Enter a prompt for the texture you want and watch the magic happen! Placing into the world Locate the folder in your ‘My Assets’ tab called [Gen AI Assets] Then click and drag to your scene. Tip: If the folder is not appearing after a few minutes, try clicking into the 'Public Assets' tab and then back to the 'My Assets' tab, or closing and reopening the desktop editor How to Earn Your Badge Post in this thread with: A link to your world you've created using Mesh Gen. A screenshot of your avatar standing in your new generated world.. A brief description of your experience (How long did this take you to build? What challenges did you face?).
