The future of Horizon Worlds (in VR) ?
As the word on the streets has it, Meta is redirecting a lot of resources from VR (including Metaverse) to AR. What does it mean for Horizon Worlds, especially as VR app/platform? It would be pretty devastating making my next world only to find out that the platform is dead/discontinued/shutting down.285Views1like12CommentsNew World Guidance... Currency Gizmo?
Hi, I'm Plee.. new creator in Meta. So excited to be learning truly with this community.. but I also don't want to be taken advantage of. Looking for an efficient way to promote, keep visibility and drive traffic to my 18+ environment. Plee's Lounge - 839836115886270 It' s a lounge and I think its cooler than alot ive seen.. but can use some work. I have some plans.. would really love to host or plan a launch event or join the 18+ or 21+ night community or tours. Mainly where do creators start? Im quite a loner.. and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to efficiently create a currency system gameplay/ ui.. even w the guided youtube videos, documentation, and mhcp tutorials theres not much on gameplay. And the tutorials in the creator hubs always open to broken links. :( Wanna get this started before I work on my next project within worldsSolved54Views0likes3CommentsPromoting upcoming worlds and visibility
I am getting very close to releasing my first world (some details are here Building something.. | Meta Community Forums - 1351760 ) and I am wondering about promoting my world and keeping it visible/discoverable. Any tips about that ?Solved43Views0likes1CommentAny update on 2026 competitions after budget changes?
Hey everyone, With the recent news about Meta potentially reducing the metaverse / Reality Labs budget by around 30%, I wanted to ask if there’s been any update or guidance on what that means for Horizon Worlds and future creator competitions. The recent “What You Missed This Quarter” post felt very optimistic about 2026, but I’m curious whether plans like creator competitions and MHCP incentives are still on track, scaled back, or being reworked. Not trying to start rumors — just hoping for clarity so creators can plan wisely for 2026. If anyone from the team can share even a high-level update, it would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!166Views0likes1CommentPortal Issue
Hi, I created a new world, and it was working fine (The Miller's Debt Escape), but now no players can enter the world. When attempting, it won't open a portal to the world. I can go in and edit items via editor mode, but that's it. I tried deleting the old version and republishing a new world, but I'm having the same results. None of my other escape worlds is having this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.86Views0likes4CommentsUrgent: Addressing Botting Activity in Horizon Worlds
I want to bring attention to an issue that’s becoming increasingly damaging to the integrity of Horizon Worlds. Some creators are using bots to inflate visits, player counts, and eligible hours. This practice doesn’t just undermine the platform’s fairness, it also has real financial consequences. Because monthly bonus payouts come from a shared pool, botted worlds directly reduce the potential earnings for honest creators who are working hard to build authentic engagement. Recently, some of the highest-ranking worlds have shown engagement patterns that appear inconsistent with normal player behavior. This suggests the issue isn’t isolated, it’s affecting top-performing games and distorting visibility across the platform. Epic Games recently took legal action against creators on their platform for similar behavior, recognizing how botting harms the creator ecosystem. Meta should consider a similar stance. These artificial boosts distort performance metrics, discourage genuine creators, and risk damaging the credibility of Horizon’s creator program as a whole. I urge the Meta Horizon team to investigate these activities and communicate what steps are being taken to detect and penalize fraudulent engagement. Transparency and enforcement here will protect the health of the creator economy and reward legitimate creators who bring real communities together. Thank you to the Horizon team for continuing to support us. I truly believe this platform can thrive when fairness is upheld and creators are held to the same standards of integrity.Solved75Views0likes1CommentPSA: The current survey with a $25 gift card is US only
It's still worth doing, but wanted to let people know so that they aren't disappointed like I was to find out that they just earned a voucher they can't use. It seems that only the US can get a voucher, I originally assumed it was meta store credit which I would have been happy with.304Views1like7CommentsAugust Bonus
Ooooh.. I am on a role. This is my second question. When I log in to Horizon World the notice at the top says that you have to sign up for the August Bonus by the 23rd. I have no idea where or how to sign up. I have joined the Meta Creators Program. Is that what it is referring to or do I have to sign up for a monthly bonus each month? The last thing I want to do is miss out on any opportunities to make 💰 As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated.Solved87Views0likes3CommentsVR vs Mobile
Hey all, I wanted to make this post to gather opinions and start a discussion about the state of Meta Horizon Worlds and where it’s headed as a platform. I wanted to start by saying that I’ve always loved the idea of VR. Being fully immersed in a world where you can do things that you can’t do in a typical 2-D flat screen experience is one of the most amazing things I think anybody can experience. I still remember when I first got my Oculus and how amazed and fully convinced that this device would be one of the biggest revolutions in gaming and social interaction whenever more people experienced it. There has been a ton of progress made in VR, and specifically Meta Horizon Worlds, but there’s still a long way to go before this platform reaches its full potential. Now that we’re done with that intro, I wanted to get to the real meat of this conversation. I personally think this push for Meta Horizon Worlds to be a mobile platform is a huge mistake, and that this focus on mobile is causing resources to be diverted away from VR. Meta should focus on helping creators create the best VR experiences possible. The Desktop editor is a huge first step in making that happen, but there are a lot of things that can be improved such as making tutorials for UI functionality for VR, making basic inventory scripts for VR ( there is currently a public asset by meta that creates an inventory for you but it doesn’t work for VR ) etc. The easier it is for creators to make VR games, the more quality content there will be for the platform, and the more likely it is to grow. The edge that this platform has is being one of the only VR gaming platforms. Roblox already has Meta beat in having a Mobile gaming platform; that race is over. This is just my opinion. What does everyone else think?198Views3likes4CommentsI can't publish a world that I was able to before
I have a memoriam world for celebrities that have passed away this year for people to gather and remember them. It's called Deaths in 2025 and I'm not able to publish it anymore. Is it possible that I have inadvertently violated community guidelines? Should I rename it and/or put an age restriction on it? THXSolved405Views0likes2Comments
